Lavender Whimsy Jar
There is something playful about flowers in a jar. The Lavender Whimsy Jar is a whimsical little arrangement of lavender blooms set inside a clear glass jar, the kind of piece that looks at home on a windowsill or a teacher's desk. In South Africa it is a sweet way to thank a teacher when the school year ends in December. Florists in Stellenbosch, Centurion and other parts of South Africa prepare each jar themselves and deliver it by hand. If you are sending it to a school from overseas, include the school's name, the teacher's surname and the class, so it reaches the right person.
